#blogHOPE 2014 Team Member - Cara Coleman

Today we introduce to you Cara! We also met Cara at the Allume Conference, and we are excited to welcome her to the #blogHOPE 2014 team!

I’m Cara - a 30 something mother of two who married her college sweetheart.

I’ve lived in Arkansas all of my life. While just the thought of that probably bores most people to tears I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Except sometimes I dream of packing up the family and moving to Ethiopia.

I’m highly not qualified to write a blog but for whatever reason Jesus keeps pushing me out of my comfort zone. Some days I can’t believe that Jesus would love a complete loser of a sinner like myself. But he does and that’s why I love Him so much.

The Lord wrecked me a few years back. But in a good way. He continued His wrecking through Sole Hope. After getting involved with Sole Hope in the fall by simply hosting a few shoe cutting parties I’ve seen how the Lord has opened the eyes of others too. One theme that has continued to play out in my life through missions like Sole Hope is that awareness leads to action. When we become aware of the need Jesus calls us to act. Equipping us along the way (Hebrews 13:21).

You can usually catch me at The Front Porch Ramblings blogging about life, social injustice and encouraging others to get uncomfortable for the sake of the gospel.  I also like to blog about my love of living in the South and missions.

A few things you should know about me- I wear Converse All-Stars almost every day, I cheer hard for the Arkansas Razorbacks and I drink an unhealthy amount of coffee.

You can follow Cara on her blogInstagram, and Twitter.
